Below are pictures and descriptions from the Thomas' trip to Alaska. We did a lot and saw a lot.
Below are the guys on the first night. We went out to dinner at Snow Goose which is a pub/restaurant. This is a picture from the top of the pub.

After dinner, we drove to a park near our home looking for moose and we came across this black bear cub (we also saw a moose and porcupine that night).
The next two pictures are from our drive down to Seward. We stopped at Beluga Point in Turnagain Arm.

Once we got to Seward, we decided to visit Exit Glacier and do one of the hiking trails around there.

On our way to the face of the glacier.
We finally made it..

We hiked down to the toe of the glacier. We had to fjord glacial streams to get there but we made it!

Black bear we saw along the hike.
Pretty flowers and "shrubbery" along the way.

We made it to the halfway point on the way up the Harding Ice Field. It was getting late and cold so we decided to head back down after we got to this point.

The next day in Seward, the guys' fishing charter got cancelled so we went to the Sea Life Center, hung around town, and did a hike at Caines Head Trail. Below is a picture of a sea otter.

Our hike on Caines Head Trail. It was raining and dreary but we still had a great time.

On Tuesday we went on a hike about 40 minutes away from Anchorage at Eklutna Lake. The trail we hiked was called Twin Peaks Pass. The picture below is from the bottom of the hike at Eklutna Lake.

On our way to the top...

Old car that was halfway down the mountain in the trees that we hiked down to. Nick decided to get in...

View from the top!

Nick had packed a couple beers for them to drink at the top..

Our last little trip we took was to Denali National Park where we camped at Riley Creek Campground. This is one of Nick and I's favorite places to camp. Below is a picture of Riley Creek. It was about 10:30 at night when I took this...

Our campfire-it was so warm!

Nick at Riley Creek.

While at Denali, we took a shuttle bus into the park (since cars are restricted past a certain point). It was such a nice day we were able to see Denali (aka Mt. McKinley).

The guys at the Teklanika River in Denali.

First grizzly bear we saw on the bus into the park- he was eating a ground squirrel...

Beautiful view from Polychrome in Denali National Park..

Mr. Thomas was tired.. We were waiting for our bus to come pick us up after our hike along the Toklat River in Denali.
