For Memorial Day weekend, Nick and I went to Denali National Park and camped out with 11 of our friends. We had a blast. Below are pictures from our weekend. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday we took a 6 hour bus ride (roundtrip) through the park. We got off half way through, hiked for a couple hours, hopped back on the bus, and went back to the campground for the night. We stayed at Riley Creek Campground which is right on the inside of the park entrance. Sunday, we did a short hike to Horseshoe Lake and then did a longer hike to the top of Mt. Healy. (Both hikes were on the inside of of the park).

Our tent, with the peep hole for Nick!

Here are some pictures from our bus ride into the park....
Below are some of the many caribou we saw.

This is the Toklat River. It's hard to see, but there are Dall Sheep on that mountain. We hiked over to that mountain and then 4 of the guys (including Nick), hiked to the top, and were higher then the Dall Sheep.

Nick, Dan, and Juan on their way up to the top.

Dall Sheep..

You can see all four guys and the Dall sheep under them.

This was the same picture, except I zoomed out.

Nick and I by the Toklat River.

A couple grizzlies we saw.. We saw a total of 5 grizzlies on our bus ride. Later on that night when we were back at our campsite, Nick and I decided to take a walk down to the creek. We almost ran into a grizzly, it was about 25 feet away-I didn't get a picture of that one, we wanted to make sure we didn't get attacked so we started making a lot of noise and it ran off).

Horseshoe Lake-the first little hike we did on Sunday..

These are some pictures from our second hike on Sunday. We made it up to the summit of Mt. Healy.

Not even half way up to the top...The view was amazing from here though.

Me and Nick at the top!

Mt. Healy...We started from where this picture was taken, and made it to the top.
