Williwaw Lakes Trail

This was one of the streams on the trail. We were hiking through mud, streams, snow, trees, etc.
This is a view of downtown Anchorage from one of the points on the trail. We were probably 1-2 miles into the hike at this point:

If you look hard, you will see 6 dall sheep. They were all over the mountain next to us:

This is a picture of Cook's Inlet in Anchorage:
If you look hard, almost directly in the middle of the picture, you will see a black speck. That is the black bear we saw. Now, 175 feet down below was a guy with 2 dogs. The bear was looking at them, and them at the bear. We were a few hundred yards below the bear, the man and his dogs. All of a sudden the bear starts coming down towards the guy and his dogs, and not at a slow pace. Of course at this time, we were almost running down the trail (with our bear spray in hand). The man and his dogs were running down the mountain as well to get back on the trail. Finally the bear stopped, and we met up with the guy and 2 dogs a little ways down the trail. At this time we were all keeping a close eye on the bear, and finally he started heading back up the mountain (and were able to slow our pace a little and catch our breath).
